Question Looking for ideas

Have a 2011 SS with L99,long tube headers,CAI,o/u pulley and light tune. Now getting 367 RWHP. If you only had $6500 to spend on performance, what would be the best way to go.

TT. Used kits can be purchased + installed for 6500.

depends on how many miles you got on the car. When my car is 6 years old Ill be around 85,000 at this rate. At that point IDK if id spend $6500 on mods or just save for a different ride? If you are set on investing into current car, maybe a S/C kit. You already have LT and a CAI so should be around $6K for a sweet kit.

LSA kit is pretty reasonable but, full disclosure, I’m biased as I have one...

+1 for a LSA supercharger kit. You'll then have extra $$ for supporting suspension mods so you don't break anything later (anti wheel hop package).

Hello camone,

You can have a nice heads and cam package with alky kit. If you're looking to go forced induction, Edelbrock has a nice low profile supercharger system, or even an ECS SC1500 intercooled s/c kit for that price.

Please feel free to call or email us with any questions.

Regards,

L99 with unknown mileage...... I would say a ditch of the AFM lifters and all, cam and maybe enough for gears also...... with converter, and maybe ported heads with the better hollow stem valves... Supercharging not so much on a unknown mileage engine with hypereutectic pistons as your budget is not much and many drop more on just parts let alone a install and dyno tune. Good Luck.

Here’s some ideas to look at. Not all of this applies, but that amount of money definitely has CAM and tune written all over it. With that much you can get it done right.

I second this, but then again I am biased as well. I absolutely love the way my car sounds and drives after doing all my mods. A supercharger or turbos would've been nice too, but, depending on which one you buy, the cost goes up for the kit as well as the install/tuning, not to mention if you decide to upgrade other parts such as fuel system/injectors, suspension parts, rear end parts, block work, stronger transmission. Really all depends on how much power you're looking to make and what you're going to do with it. Either way you can't really go wrong, but plan on spending more than you think its gonna cost because that's usually what happens!
