Radio question!

After the XM free trial,I decided to go with thumb drive music. I'm using a 8G drive and it works fairly well except that some CD's show only the song playing while others show the song, artist and CD the song came from. All music on the thumb drive came from my computer and were downloaded from CD's to the computer in WMA format. Anybody know why some show all info and others don't? Someone at the dealer thinks it's the type thumb drive I'm using,I think it's the radio software.

What music software are you using, itunes? It wouldn't hurt to go into iTunes (or whatever software you're using) and make sure that the album, artist, etc. information was there for the songs that aren't displaying it.

it could be that the song doesnt have that info available plug the thumb drive to your computer and check there. that would happen to me when i transferred my CD's to itunes some didnt upload with that info but your case might be different. as for the cars radio i doubt it would be the radio omitting info from the songs.

For whatever reason the songs were not tagged with all of the info. Happens often when copying older CD's. Amazon and itunes usually have all of that up to date.

If all else fails you can try this:

I used mp3tag to update my collection. Allows you to edit all of the tag information including the album art.
