I have been inspired and thinking about doing this to my Hood. I have the reverse hood kit as well. I would need to have pieces painted but my shop told me the actual install would only be $225 for both sets : >)...They like to use my car for advertisement. : >)

Hey Tim,
First of all... AWESOME JOB!!! You are to be commended. Reading your thread is not only informative but well organised and easy to follow. Answered every question to a level everyone understands. As a fabricater and custom car builder I commend you! Your car is a excellent example of not just custom work, but a manufacturers' rolling billboard. They should be supplying free parts. What better way to advertise? Kudos on your car. If I may pick on one thing that is very minor but would add to the seamless work? Choose the screens you like best on the hood and make them both the same. Adds to a seamless hood. THIS IS NOT CRITISISM!! (dont send hate mail) And not a must do. Just an idea. Great build and I will follow anxiously for new ideas. This reminds me why I love fabrication all over again. Your enthusiasm is contagious.. again, AWESOME CAMARO!! |

Thank you for the compliments, Ive worked soooo hard on getting my car to where it is today, and i do feel that it is fantastic looking machine. I still have many other projects that i want to tackle so stay turned for those, but probably not till winter..haha i want to drive it not look at it im a garage all torn apart like i have been!!!
I do agree 100% with you on matching the grilles, that will take some fabrication which most likely i will be doing in the off season (winter). both of those kits i got came with different styles of mesh, i like the Hex vent mesh a bit better so i will be looking into probably cutting out the other mesh and some how applying the matching mesh to the frame of the T3 Vents. We shall see. I realy want a set of wheels next, that will really make the car stand out. Thanks for viewing.

Awesome!!! I look forward to your continued build. If you look up the American Racing "Daytona" (gunmetal) I have a set I just took off my car and were only used 3 months. Not a scratch and are like new. Just had Vin 55 2013 ZL1 built. Thanks again. Keep it up!!

Hey Tim,
What ya up to? Been following and waiting for the next piece of build. Did you find wheels yet? Any ideas? Whats the worst part of your hood reverse kit? It looks awesome and considering it on the ZL1. Was anything about it not to your liking? Quality? Instructions? Hardware? Anything? Oh, Check out the Camarodecalstore.com Tell Reggie I sent you. He has some awesome stuff thats reasonably priced and you may like. The blackouts are going on my car and when you see the easy on/off you may like them too. He also has a clear bra for under a hundred bucks thats cool as well but won't cost you a thousand dollars either. Keep up the great work my friend, Awesome Camaro!!

The reverse hood is great. gains alot of attention. There are a few things that i need to tweek, but im a bit lazy and keep putting it off. I need to enlarge the holes on the striker bar part to move it up a tiny bit, will help with closing. Thats about it really, everything else is really great quality. Just takes a while to get it aligned up perfect. I do know that i will be getting the dual vented fenders this winter, and im trying to find something to "spice" up the back of the car. Its just too plain now, well i think. Needs somthing, i just cant figure out what. I really want to hack out the side gills and mold a set of vents into that, that way it will also give it a more "wide body" look. but if i mess that up there is nooo turning back, i would be screwed.
