Shocks / Struts - Conflicting Information

Have an opportunity to get a set (front & rear) shocks and struts off of a 2103 SS from a friend who is upgrading his car to coil-overs. An opportunity to do a mild upgrade to my Camaro for virtually no cost other than my time appeals to my frugal nature.

I have been told that the 2013 shocks / struts won't fit my 2010 V6 2LT by some and have been told that they will work just fine by others.

Just don't want to obtain the 2013 pieces and then find that they won't work once I've started the project (getting too old to do things twice).

Anyone have a definitive answer?

Thanks.
