Yes as they are on the brink of financial collapse and while they are marching towards MPG and EPA standards that require unprecedented mileage and clean air standards so they decided to create a new bigger engine and more powerful engine.

You could build a bigger engine and have great mpg if they would use Hydrogen gas engine i bet they could get a 35to40 mpg with a 500+ hp engine. Make it happen please GM.

They just might be able to squeak out one or two model years of a bigger motor before they have to meet the new mpg standards........ Keep The Faith!!!

The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car." Aaron Gold, About.com |

If you go to a site called water4gas.com it will give you an idea of how they can come up with a way to keep all high performance cars at 500+ hp and still give you awsome mpg. The tech is still being developed.

Vote conservative republican and you won't have to worry about government over regulating the car industry. Barry O has his hands in everyone biz and were all headed for the poor house.
