If one wants to have a rare car, they should get a Challenger like you. By the end of next year there will be more 5th gen Camaros then C6 Corvettes sold.

Love both. I would go with the C6 over the Camaro even though the Camaro is very nice.
2 questions, 1. How important are back seats. 2. If your a true driving enthusiast then get the Corvette much more nimble and light. Tough Choice |

backseats are nice incase of an emergency. lets say we have to pick up a couple of stranded friends or something.

Camaro. 400 horsepower is PLENTY for me; anything more isn't worth the loss in mileage to me. I also would really like the option to take more than one person with me, and IMO the Camaro looks better.

But don't they have a gas guzzler tax, which the Camaro doesn't?

OMG... someone shoot me! Not another Corvette - Camaro thread
If you have the means and have to ask, buy the corvette. Why, let me tell you: #1 If you have to ask, obviously you are thinking about it and like the styling of the Corvette. Most do, some don't. If you didn't, you would ask if you should buy one. #2 If you have to ask, obviously you have the means. I wouldn't ask if I should go buy a Lamborghini since I don't have the means so why ask. #3 The Corvette is faster, quicker and handles better, even the 1LT C6 will take a stock 2SS. #4 The Corvette is a SPORTS CAR, the Camaro is a SPORTS COUPE (AKA Muscle car, AKA Pony Car) If you want a SPORTS CAR, the Camaro will let you down. Its heavy and large and you can feel that. #5 Price for a 1LT and a 2SS/RS are pretty close right now with the incentives on the C6. Some of the things the Camaro has going for it: #1 Freshness all around #2 More interior refinement #3 Back seat #4 It can be had MUCH cheaper (1SS non RS) than even a 1LT #5 Its pretty darn fun to drive and is no slouch in the performance department #6 Comfort in driving Some things the Corvette has going for it: #1 Performance all around #2 Prestige (if thats you cup of tea) #3 Do dads (HUD, selective ride, NAV... technology) #4 It is the American Iconic SPORTS CAR OH... I sold this to buy the camaro so i know what i am talking about. I am 100% pleased with my decision. Last edited by IROCanSS; 10-06-2009 at 09:50 AM. |
