Q15: Will the DMV wait until January 1, 2015 to implement the program even if the minimum is reached before that date?
A: No. Once the required minimum is reached, implementation of the program will go into development.

You practically gave me a mini heart attack. I wanted my plane sometime this year heh.

oh that is good to know..

I have a form from the DMV I went there and asked, and it says Starting Jan 1, 2015 if all 7,500 pre-orders are filled.

I just figured I am going to have to sit on it for 2 years.

The thing is I just got in these personalized plates in white. I am going to need to wait now. I want the AG plates for my ranch truck though.

California taking pre orders on Legacy plates

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/legacyplates/index.htm

They must have 7500 pre paid orders by Jan 2015 in order to issue these.
I ordered Black/Yellow

Can you put black and yellow legacy plates on a 2011 camaro?
The original black plates were last issued in 1969. I thought they could only be installed on something older than '69 but I could be wrong.
