ok... you're gonna have to clarify...

it's either an SS or an LS, not both (SS is V8, LS is V6)
the transmission is either manual or automatic (unless you're talking about the tap shifters that come on all autos)

I wouldn't let the price of the automatic bother you. If it was the LS3 with a 6 speed auto it would have the gas guzzler tax and that would probably be more then the auto anyway.

LS3 for me. I can't stand automatic transmissions to begin with, especially in a muscle car. Something about stomping on a pedal doesn't feel cool. IMO autos are for women.

you have to stomp on a pedal to go in either transmission.

autos are also for men with blown-out left knees, people who regularly drive in city traffic, drag racers, & many others

If you've ever been to a drag racing event you will notice that there are more automatics than manual transmissions, especially in the bracket racing categories. With a Trans brake, and proper torque converter you can’t beat the consistency and literally the off the line launches of an automatic transmission. But any way, there are many reasons to get an automatic transmission and none of them includes being a woman. That’s an ignorant comment that belongs with Mullets and Wife Beaters.
