The ZL1 needs to pass Federal emissions standards.

just got an official release from my dealer where i placed a deposit. It specifically says the following and I quote:
" It is important to note that production of the 2012 Camaro ZL1 is limited. Although every dealer will be issued a guide number, a few dealers will be receiving an Estimated Production Guide Number of zero (0), and will not receive a Camaro ZL1 for the 2012 model run." I though this would be of interest to everyone here.... |

I'd drive 1.
I would hope a base MSRP around 50, then up to 56-57 depending on options. |

580HP is around 490 to the tires which is pretty close to an 11.8 @ 4200lb with an Auto matic or a pro driver with a stick.
If the price is right you might see lots of Fords and Dodge's on Chevy lots this year. With Dodge locking down the computers, Chevy sales will soar. I'll buy one of these if the price is right since Dodge screwed everyone. But it won't go faster than SRT5939, I don't care who's driving it.

Not so long ago 500 RWHP from the factory was some kind of pipe dream. My dreams are now coming true. If you want more, just pass on the warranty & go as big as you can afford with mods. You won't need too many. .
