I do advise the tape... I, too, needed the chime... and I have found that muting it a bit makes all the difference.

I read around post 115 that some kits were shipped out without them. I must have gotten one of those. My installer said he didn't see anything like that in the box. I sent PAC an email but haven't gotten anything back. If they don't send me an email back soon I'll call them

when you send them email, make sure you send mailing info,,,sometimes they dont reply and just send stuff out,,,,I>E> hazard gasket...

Sorry I tried to read thru as much a I could... does anyone know if u can retain the factory backup camera with this kit and a kenwood or pioneer head unit? I have a 15 ss

I believe I have read in this thread that you can, and even add a front camera as well with some HU's.

I have the Pioneer 8100NEX and yes the backup camera is retained.

Can someone post head units that fit in the PAC aftermarket radio kit? I am trying to pick a new radio but I don't know what radios fit and what ones don't. Thanks in advance.

I don't see any Android radios that will fit all I see is pioneer and kenwood.

All the major name brand radios commercially sold in America should fit. Android radios are slightly oversized and will not fit. Which is unfortunate, that's the only reason I haven't bought this kit already.

I think I've found a few on Amazon... the description says 100mm by 178mm so I think that will fit.
