I'd like to go old-skool. Black Camaro + chrome

I've had 8 second tubbed and framed pro-street cars, P-cars and monster trucks... lol

But for now I'd like to get a new V6 Camaro, black please... and add some wheels reminiscent of the 1970's-1980's Cragar SS's... and some shiney bits here and there. Obviously you cant have chrome bumpers anymore... but other than wheels, are there any more tasteful places to add a touch of chrome?

Wheel ideas? Pictures of cars taken this direction? TIA and love the forum!!

agreed... the factory has a little chrome trim around the taillights and the exhaust tips can be chrome. That covers the back. Maybe a bit of chrome on the grill? And the chrome Camaro logo on the side... that might be enough chrome to set off the wheels.

I also wanted to add my 2 cents worth on the whole "what good is a V6" controversy...

My everyday driver is a Porsche Cayenne S. My wife drives a Toyota Corolla S. The Corolla averages 30 mpg and gets her from point A to B. The Corolla cost 20k.

The Camaro will get nearly the same gas mileage... for $5k more... and I can have something I can take to work some days (leaving her the Cayenne) and it brings back a nostalgic tug from the 80's...

Like I said... I've had VERY fast cars, I'm not going to be impressed by an SS with a tune, exhaust or even a supercharger. So it's not about speed... it's about the "ride"...

I LOVE CHROME! on cars that were designed for it. There are plenty bits of chrome crap that you can buy to throw on a 5th gen. However, you asked for tasteful. The answer is no.
