Life through a Lens

Hello all, I could't really find a good place to put this thread, so I figured what the hell. Off-Topic is as good as any.

I am a part time, half ass "photographer". I love being behind the lens, and viewing what others have managed to capture through theirs.

With that said, here is a bit of my work, and I hope you will share yours!

Since this is a vehicle forum, figured I would start there 1st:

This was my baby before the camaro:

The new toy:

Some of my more abstract work:

Have a wonderful day!

Well thank you very much.

I have plenty more I will share from time to time!

Seems I am always out at local car meets, getting calls from local car clubs to do shoots for them, I got plenty of material for you viewing pleasure!

LOL, I don't think I will ever call myself a pro. I do own my own photography business (portraits mostly), so I guess by default you could call me a pro. I however am under the belief that no photographer is every truly at the top of their game, there is always something new to learn!

Thank you very much Tessa.

I am a photoshop nut as well, so if you guys have any images that you would like me to play with feel free to post them up. I am fortunate enough to have a day job that allows me a good bit of "free time". So I am usually playing around with some image or another!

I'm love photography as well, and am a huge Ansel Adams fan, so I love outdoor photography. Maybe not black & white, though in my early days I did do a lot of B&W photography.

Here's some car shots, and some other things as well.

Milwaukee - my Grandmothers house.

My first road trip with the Camaro SS down Highway 101 on the Washington Coast.

Ansel Adams. I have a huge print over my bed that my sister got me years ago. I have a few books of his stuff too (though sadly packed away b/c I don't have room out :()

Those are great pics too.

I have a bunch I took in HS when my mom and I went to CA and I think they are pretty good - but that was back in the pre-digital days

I'm usually more of the "take them on my phone" person, though I have gotten some great ones that way (just have no phone today to find or post some )

I have all the Adobe CS programs but I never have time to mess with them anymore :(
I have too many hobbies and things I like to do.

I've got some other sets of photo's I'll be posting up, but I'm not at home so I have to research the file names...As far as Photoshop, I should use that more often on my pictures, but generally I prefer natural lighting, and not doing effects on the photos...not that you can't get some great looking stuff with the effects.

A trip to Lake Quinault with some fellow Camaro owners.

I agree 100%, I am definitely a natural light guy. However even the best images could use a bit of retouching. Which is what I normally use photoshop for in most instances, unless I am just trying to be artistic.

For example:
Your original:

Just a little retouching in photoshop:

Hope you don't mind me messing with your image. I know some folks can get pretty touchy over that stuff, if I overstep just yell at me!
