New member! Any other OTR truckers here?
How do you deal with the long separation from your Camaro? I dont think I could handle it! So in the mean time while I save up for it it, and try to find a job that gets me home more, now I have Camaro5 to pass that time with.
Looking at ordering either a 1SS or 2LT around Xmas, cant quite decide if I want the trade off between power or luxury just yet. Also, curious if any of the truckers here drive automatic Camaros? Does it make you restless at all? I like the idea of getting an auto, but i think it would be too strange, like something is missing. As for myself, 26, Ive lived in the Savannah area pretty much my entire life, but Im anywhere in the country at any given moment. Been OTR driver for about a year. Anyhow, hope I settle in here just fine. Adios! |

Archias, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Ok first thing you have to get over is the hardest, your car is not out cruising the streets without you. She's not cheating on you, getting upgrades, new shoes, anything waxed or buffed without you. That being said, the Camaro5 forums are like crack! This place just feeds my addiction and makes it worse. You say to yourself " all I need is a 3000 mi week and I can afford that mod" and you will! Unfortunately I drive an automatic truck but the Camaro is standard. You will dream about it for awhile, but living in Savannah at least you won't have to store it as much as we do up in NY. Good Luck and maybe we'll see you in Indianapolis for Camarofest.
