Port injection Surge tank

Doing research on adding additional fueling and I'm wondering why no one runs a surge tank for a port injection add on? Any reason it isn't possible? People prefer easier plug and play options?

I don't know why it would be needed.

Full E85, no need to touch stock pump or tank?

Jl speed ran a dedicated tank for his fuel system for his nitrous build. Pretty sure it was just a 5gal tank in the trunk.

So you’re going to add another tank, the same high volume pumps you’d need to feed the port injection anyway, more lines, another pressure sender that the ECM cannot monitor, etc…? Or, depending on power, you can just slap in a DSX or Fore system and be done with it?
