In a couple of the threads that talk about the gauge pack install, there have been questions about how the gauge pack is fastened to the trim plate... a lot of folks are using the wire ties supplied with the kit and others are coming up with their own method... clips, screws, etc.

... I'm curious... in the 2LT/2SS cars, what does GM use to fasten the gauge pack to the trim piece when they are assembled ?

Is that something you think I can get by merely taking off the side panels? If so I'd be glad to look at it.

It was way too easy to pull this piece off. The factory gauges are attached by screws on the underside.

I only have a very dark crappy cell phone pic.

They have a wire harness with the kit. It should work.
