As KaBoom1701 said once i get my intake sorted I'll be mounting it on this side.

Opened my 2nd un-used catch can i feel i may have come up with a temp fix/possible solution.
All you need to do is buy some stainless steel wool and pack it as nice and tight as you can around this top piece out perimeter, this should help the oil vapor to re condense into oil liquid and trap it before it goes back into the engine.

It would have been even nicer if elite stuck with this design to keep it very tight in the out perimeter

There was a HUGE thread about catch cans I remember seeing a year or two ago (do a search).
It gotr VERY detailed on how catch can's work inside and the fact that there are MANY catch cans that are pretty much worthless except as an ornament.
I am NOT saying that the Elite can was one of the bad ones, I'm just pointing out that if you can find the old thread, it was VERY informative on how catch cans work, and which ones worked best and why.

I only use the RX catch can. I have seen test results that show the RX can does a better job than all others I have seen on the market. You can google catch can results and see many of the results posted.

RX actually has a new dual valve can out that looks really good also.

I attached some test results I found.

I had an Apex catch can installed with less than 300 miles on my car. 1600 miles later it had at least a 1/16 of oil in the cup when I checked it. So I know its working. It may not be catching it all but at least its catching something!!

Maybe you have your RX can hooked up wrong. All three of mine work great on both my camaros and my vette. Lots of studies to show RX cans work great.

I will never understand why people measure what they have caught. that does not really matter. it is verifying that is not letting anything pass that is key.

my .02 is put the glass filter after the can after you mount it in a cooler place. if it still lets vapor past try a different brand.

back before he got banned the owner of brand x tested many of the major can's and posted results. the elite g1 can got a b+ basically it caught most of it but not all.

RX tested many brands and posted in results.

the results I have seen RX, Mike norris, bobs worked best. now apex is making a can and mighty mouse is another popular brand. the G1 elite let more past than the ones I posted in the testing so I did not consider it. I have seen no data on G2 but you seem to be having issues.

yeah I would have returned the can for sure. somethings not right. I know they recommend dual check for boosted apps but that is quite a bit of pass through.

Maybe we can when oil pass through isn't an issue anymore...

Ok well i got the stainless steel wire mesh from the shops today, it's a decent one which is pretty long, i wasn't able to pack all of it in but most of it, you need a flat head to push it down the sides and side cutters to cut the mesh when you have packed as much in as you can. You should try and pull the wire out as far as you can first so you have it as long as possible.

Here is what it looks like now, also i blew air through the inlet to ensure there was no air blockage and exactly as i thought there was none air will always find a way with mesh like this, so hopefully this stops the oil and helps condense it back into the can. If not i have more wire mesh left over might try getting even more into it if i have to.

This is a very easy DIY and well worth it even if you don't suspect you have an issue.
