Exhaust cutouts - what is the best setup I can get?

Looking for the best quality without breaking the bank. Any suggestions? I currently have Kooks LT 1 7/8" with HF cats and Borla Sport catback which includes the X-Pipe. Any advice is appreciated.

Having the race ready set installed as we speak..... Went with them cuz they have a lifetime warranty..... Only heard good things about the too. If you call the owner.. I think his name is Steve, he'll hook you up. My complete set with downturn tips and Y pipes was about $525. All stainless steel too.... http://www.racereadyperf.net/3-STAIN...ding_p_56.html Check them out. This link is for the 3" setup, If you did 2 1/2" they have those too.

Thanks Rage, This is really awesome info. I didn't think someone made these with bolt on option where welding is not required. I can install this myself. I have the 2.5" exhaust and will consider them.

I've had the Race Readys for two years and 30,000 miles. The only thing I've had to replace was a faulty switch. All I did was call Steve, and he sent me a new one, no charge and no hassle.

To the OP, Rage posted a thread on the Race Readys back when he was trying to decide which ones to buy. There's some good info on there if you want to check it out:

Not exactly. The diverters "divert" all of the exhaust out though the cutouts. With conventional cutouts, some of the exhaust still makes it back to the tail pipes. I actually like the "stereo" sound of the conventional cutouts better, but that's just my personal preference. The diverters will probably deliver a little more HP.

Go with the QTP Low Profile Cutouts. They are made for the 5th gen. They are best.

Why are they the best? 90 day warranty? Or the fact u need to have them welded in? Just curious

The price is the only thing that seems good on those. If I was putting them on my stock exhaust I'd go for them but considering how much money I spent on my catback I think I'd prefer a better quality cutout or diverter. Also, anything that involves welding is out of my league and I need to consider the added labor cost to install them.

If you go back thru my posts you will see I was set on QTP, until I called and asked about their warranty Your $$ so your call. Either one seems like a great setup.
