I have a 2013 LS. Will 20x9.5 rims with 40mil offset fit in the front without rubbing or touching anything?(with a 275/40/20 tire)

Yeah it will fit, My front is a 20x10 with 35 offset, 35 offset is to keep it safe when I lower the car. I run a 275/40

Read the info provided in the link. It helped me a lot when I was trying to understand backspacing and offset.

+40 is cutting it real close. The back is fine but the front will depend on wheel alignment. It might or might not rub with stock camber but if you to add any more negative camber for performance, it will rub for sure. There are people running 20x9 et40 with 275 tires without rubbing but your 9.5" rim width will stretch the tire 5mm more. I'll say too close for comfort.

8.5" will work great with 245/45 tire and give you plenty of alignment options. Have you look into other ZL1 replica options? 20x10 will work with 275/40 as well.

don't use spacers ,the wheels need to hub center or you will get very bad tire wear and lots of high speed wobble
