Hey everyone. Just a heads up about Logan Pass. It IS beautiful. (We were just down there). Breathtaking scenery. As for photo ops as a group. Probably will be hard to do. There are pullouts along the way, but as you get up higher into the pass, they will only accommodate 2-3 cars tops! Our best hope would be at the Visitor Center at the summit. Now I don't know if we can reserve spots there or not for parking. I honestly don't know who we would call to find out. :(
Going up into the pass from West Glacier, while it is breath taking, you have to be aware of the cars coming toward you as they tend to be frightened of the rock wall on their side of the road and straddle the yellow line...especially around corners. Not trying to scare anyone at all, but this road will HAVE to be taken with caution. Lots of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians all over that road. Not to mention the people who venture up there in their cars and are ridiculously afraid of the road. LOL But I guarantee, it will be a site that won't soon be forgotten. Especially by those who have never been up there. There is about a 45 minute walk at the visitor center that takes you up to a hidden lake. There are ground squirrels, Marmots, goats, sheep and even the odd bear and cougar to possibly see. Being in a group, people don't have to worry about being bothered by them. And a warning. If we are coming back to Alberta through Logan Pass, the gates at Chief Mountain Crossing which take us by Waterton close at 10:00pm sharp! |

I love the Glacier park area! We usually get down there once a year to camp but decided to stay in Alberta this summer, so I would love to join the cruise this year. I'm back at work on Monday and will check scheduling, but I am pretty sure I will be able to make it!!!

I cant leave Canada because my girlfriend is on a working visa :( . I wish I could come and the thing is I can get the time off! Not fair!
Other options could have been Kananaskis country or Grande Cache area keeping the Camaro meet an Alberta meet and not venturing out of the region. Shaun

Funny you should say that about him looking like that. I'm shooting stills as he's moving around and all of a sudden these girls beside me screamed and scattered. I put my camera lien a bit and he was 2 inches away from me! Thankfully he went UNDER the boardwalk! LOL

JK,, should be good fun,, again.. Even though I get to melt my tires all summer on these fine roads I'll see if it can work for me to go, I have a conference in Van the following week so I just have to organize around that as I'm hoping to hit washingtons roads and maybe do some mtn biking too. Anyway, let you know asap...... that is if a chevy but non-camaro can roll again in the group???? Quote:
