There were many Camaros of all gens, but there is no Camaro class for this show :( It was nice seeing everyone today.

Q: What is Throttle Body porting?
A: This is a process where the manufacturing imperfections in the throttle body are smoothed out to allow for better flow of air into the engine.

Q: Why do I want to do this MOD?
A: Less turbulence and less restriction on air flow = a better throttle response.

Q: Can my 5thgen Camaro benefit from this?
A: Yes - This is a MOD that is widely known to slightly increase HP. Less turbulence and less restriction on air flow = a better throttle response.

Q: What kind of HP and torque gains are typical.
A: From what little I know I think 7-10 HP and similar torque increase could be achieved on a stock V8 5th Gen.

Q: Can my older Camaro benefit from porting?
A: Yes - The throttle Body is in front of your air/fuel intake area. Even vehicles with carburetors Porting the intake was a popular and hidden mod.

Q: What else can I do to my older cable controlled LS Throttle body to improve performance?
A: Another LS throttle body mod to do, that improves HP is the bumpstop mod.
--- It advances spark, increases fuel delivery and alleviates the throttle body blade from obstructing air flow.

Q: What if you already have a spacer like this one - http://www.airaid.com/spacers.aspx
A: TB port will improve the airflow! - A spacer only increases the plenum volume a TB port will improve the airflow of that increased volume - Verrom!

Q: What if I already had a tune done NicD before porting? Do I need to retune?
A: No its not mandatory with just a TB port but add other mods and it's always a good idea plus NicD's retune price is very reasonable.

There were a lot of wins for first gen Camaros, maybe a good time to bring up adding a Camaro class. Someone said there were 654 cars.
