I knew well in advance that the HP number was going to be 700+.... but as I mentioned this car will be a straight line star. Too much weight to be a track star. Witch you would love since you care more about going in a straight line

1/4 mile is fine as they come out I'm sure that they will point out track times and all the performance that this car has

The Hellcat will move forward by rotating the planet beneath it.
This is insanity.

just curious why? ford makes a 662hp v8 mustang that weighs around 3850 pounds so around 5.8lb/hp while a 4400lb challenger at 707hp would be about 6.2lb/hp |

I'm curious to see what this will do on the track. All the advertising shows it on a roadcourse. Will it beat. Z28? I doubt it. The only way is if it destroys the straights to make up for the turns.

I wouldn't be surprised if it could run a quicker ET but then a 13-14 GT500 but that would only be due to the SRT having the auto advantage. I cant see the SRT trapping much higher if any at all then the GT500 with traps 125 in the hands of journalists. Get them going from a roll and I think the GT500 may get the win. Kudos to Dodge for worrying how its Viper customers will feel about not having the most powerful engine in the brand. GM could learn a lot from this as its not always about horsepower. The Viper is in a totally different league and nobody in their right mind would be cross shopping the two.

The GT350 is essentially replacing the BOSS 302. No one really knows what the deal is for the GT500. It'll probably miss a MY.

You are crazy about the tires. There are PLENTY of 35 series tires that are drag radials. This 315 nt05 would dead hook that stock ls7. http://mobile.nittotire.com/tires/nt...d=17&x=32&y=15 First its dont compare 1/4 bc the car isnt designed for it. Now its the tires. Bottom line its a performance car (fast). Meaning it should be fast at all times. Now should it excel at the strip like it does at the road course? Prolly not. Even more so for the tires. Trust me those are some STICKY tires. Very very sticky. They'll without doubt will hook 10x better on a prepped track over a 255 goodyear eagle supercar tire. For what ever reason the 6spd challengers always sucked. As far as the future 392 idk. I do know this 10.90 pass was said to be a 6spd and that the auto car was faster. Dodge has already said it tested the hell cat against the zl1,gt500, and even a c6z. The z i could see being an engineers car and prolly just threw it out there to see hiw it did.
