So far I haven't had any updates on my car other than it reached 4150 and has been invoiced to the dealer and has left the factory property.

I sent an E-Mail to my salesperson asking him to see if he could get me the rail car #, and I got a reply that neither he nor one of the owners (who had promised me he would make sure I was always updated on the progress of the order) have any idea how to get the rail car #.

I had to copy and paste the information from here and send it to them and hope for the best.

So far my dealer has been completely clueless when it comes to Camaro's, know issues such as the tonneau cover clips, etc.

And these people have been selling cars for how many years????

I've only been folowwing this site for the past month or so, but I already know wayy more than what I would expect any competent dealer to know.

Had I know about Becky back in January, I would have bought it from her for sure, not these yahoos.

Just got off the phone with my dealer, and my vert should be here around the 10th!!

He also told me, my delivery should not be impacted at all by the crap with Allied!

I'd be tickled to death If mine came by the tenth. But something is telling me not to hold my breath.

As it relates to the Allied mess, I would assume GM has found alternative ways around Allied and none of our cars should come under Allied's control (maybe this is wishful thinking).

just a little FYI...
Allied has not been transporting any GM vehicles, for the last 10 days...
the only vehicles in their control are the "held vehicles", prior to this TPW.

There was an article about the strike some time ago, but for the life of me I can't remember where I saw it.

The article said that there was already another transporartion company that was available, had the fleet of trucks to do the job, AND is was offering every one of the current Allied drivers a job with them so that shipping new cars would be seamless.

However that does NOT have anything to do with the 1700 vehicles that Allied has been holding hostage.

So, from what I understand, none of our cars should be affected by the strike and none of our cars are included in the hostage cars.

Of course the only thing we can really believe is when our cars actually arrive at the local dealer and we see them in person ourselves.

I'm actually going to be off my feet for a few days anyway for some surgery, so even if the car came tomorrow, I wouldn't be able to do anything with it till next week.

Absense makes the heart grow fonder......

Thank you.
I go under the knife tomorrow morning, it should be a pretty simple procedure. I should go home either the same day or the next then rest for a few days.

Was your dealer able to figure out how to track it? Only reason I know (or at least think) mine is on the move is b/c the dealer called me yesterday with the update.
