real world on any given day with an average driver a c7 will run mid 12's, lower with a better driver.
The 11.4 run was in negative -1500ft DA but the 11.6 run was in POSITIVE +400 DA. Bottom line the OP Better have a setup that will see 118-120mph traps in near 0 DA and a mid 11's capable car with enough driver skill and traction. A bolt on set up without weight reduction is not going to cut it. OP needs a cam or some sort of FI to keep up. Not to mention those C7's are gaining lots of power with basic bolt on mods. If a C7 owner ditches the run flats, gets a CAI, tune and LT headers watch out. I bet a C7 gets into the 10's with wheels/tires, tune, headers and CAI with no other mods. Add a converter to that list and someone might see mid 10's. Definitely a up hill battle trying to keep up with that car.

+400 DA is still way better than most people will ever see. don't act like that's some sort of poor air.

C7 will move.
Heck, I pulled a 1LE stock camaro pretty solid with my 09 with just a tune and a Vararam...and I have 2.56 gears. Vettes are a whole 'nother ball game. Lighter car...and more aero.

People get to caught up with internet times and not with what is happening at their local strip. There was a c7 out last Friday here. DA was crap but it was running 13.2s all night. Auto car so not much to mess up. I drove a 2014 c7 in Tucson when it was 100+ out and it was doing 12.9-13.0s in ~6k DA. They are sensitive to heat for sure.

My intake/tune 5.0 was consistently beating the c7 last Friday. I would focus on traction and you should be able to beat most bone stock vettes.

Is this thread asking about the car itself or what someone "might" be able to do against certain drivers? If we put driver and traction variables into the equation then hell, I bet a stock SS could beat certain C7 drivers. I stand by my statement that for the OP to safely beat the C7 he is going to need a setup that will run mid 11's @118-120mph in near 0 DA conditions. Otherwise your just beating the driver.

I own both (2013 ss modded ls3 and a 2009 Z06 vette). No way a camaro 5th gen unless f.i will take kr come close to a stock C7 (I've never driven one) or stock Ls3. Yes like someone else pointed out two different animals two different categories.

+400 DA happens all the time early season at Woodburn Drag strip in northern Oregon. Happens alot at Samoa too.

So yes, +400 DA is common depending on where you live and when in the season it is.

I have both right now, both auto's & my Camaro is stroked, stalled with the 4l80e & still the c7 pulls off. The C7 is stock except one chamber mufflers, Cray 19/20 wheels & Toyo R888 wheels. Dig or roll it's the same C7 pulls away.

Around 450 rwhp but no headers, stock wheels/tires with 9.5 to 1 compression & a turbo stall. It runs on 93 but will be set up for e85 & turbos THEN it will be a different story. The C7 is my DD the Camaro will be a weekend toy.

Full boltons/tune and some basic weight reduction will put you very close to it. Local track, not atco, more a tough track, C7 did a best of 12.43@112-113 and a average of 12.6-7. M7 Vette. I beat him when we ran side by side but he had a bad run. Still he wasnt coming back at all. I was trapping 112-113 too. I expected more, but this is one and only run and I expected a 115-116 from a C7 but it didnt happen. I was happy about my car. A LS2 exhaust/auto Vette did 13.1@110 to give you an idea. 2 terminators with exhaust did not do any better than low 13s too.

Whats the Camaro running on the 1/4? Without headers and with low comp must be a dog.
