How do I remove buffing compound

Dealer buffed car before I bought it, and went over the factory splitter with the buffer I guess. They tried to remove it and said they couldn't, if they tried anymore it would fade the splitter. So I'm going to try myself, any suggestions on what to use to get the compound off? I'm tired of looking at it. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427672261.408878.jpg

Appreciate the tips, I'll try to remove tomorrow. I was about to flip out, because they also buffed the front bumper with the hood down, which is no good when you have 1le black wrapped vinyl hood! Luckily I was able to remove the compound from edge of hood, and didn't have any burn marks. I should have just said no detail, give me the car.

If you don't have APC or Eraser, peanut butter(creamy), peanut or vegetable oil will work as well.

I know it sounds crazy but the oils in the peanut butter or vegetable/peanut oil will remove it. Just make sure it's cool to the touch (the affected area), and if you have painters or masking tape, tape off the painted area above it.

You must mean the calculate, draw, calculate kind of engineer, not the Toot-Toot, all aboard! kind.
