New cars for Dad and the GF + a weird situation

So my dad has been searching for Challengers (v6's booo) for the past couple months, (after cheaping out on the one he found that he wanted and then it got sold when he changed his mind). He says ok he can wait whatever. So now because of the bankruptcy work stop they are just now getting new challengers into dealers, meaning most are R/Ts and SRT8's. He can't find a V6 anywhere that he likes...

Fast forward to a couple days ago, a dealer he is looking at Challengers at a dealer and they have a few Chargers, including a brand new 09 SE that they modified to look like an R/T (Black, grey Daytona stripes, 20" chrome R/T wheels, spoiler), they are asking 28k because of all the modifications. Suddenly dad decides a) he like the charger, and b) he wants a car now to drive in the summer, doesn't want to wait to find a Challenger, and doesnt want to wait for an order (could take a couple months to get easily). I swear parents become like children as us children become adults. They call me (strange reversal of roles) and I tell them you are not spending $28k on a V6 Charger... blah blah back and forth talk to the dealer, car becomes $24k with all the mods and an alarm/remote start added. And Dads happy. So in the end if that makes him happy, good. Picking up Monday will have pics soon.

My Girlfriend needs a car shes never owned one, we have been looking online and she really likes the Tiburon. I talked her out of buying a brand new car as she doesn't make a lot of money, so payments are bad. She has a good chunk of change saved up to buy a car soo... Anyway her dad brings her to Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Pontiac. She ends up liking the Mazda 3, but doesn't like the payments. So I bring her to the Hyundai dealer, they have one new 08 Tiburon... which turns out to be sold, but across the street at their used lot they just got in a nice Silver 06 Tiburon GS, 23k miles, warranty, etc. They wanted 12 for it, blah blah negotiate, she is paying 11k (in cash) and she finally has a car (THANK GOD). Picking that up Tuesday.

Heres the weird part. Theres this loudmouth jackass taking with the other salesman about buying a car and financing it, etc. We had finished the paperwork on the car and i'm shooting the shit with our salesman, talking about my Camaro and stuff, and he mentions his son had GNX #246 that he just sold (for $56k). I mention my GN and how it was stolen and that I found it in Ozone Park Queens. The loudmouth interrupts me and says "what year did that happen?" I said "October of 2000." He says and where did you find it in the 80's , I'm like "yeah 86th st and rockaway blvd" he cuts me off on the rockaway and says it at the same time, then says "yeah I stole your car." I'm like "WHAT?" he says, "yeah thats what I used to do we used to dump the shells there all the time, I am pretty sure I stole your car, I stole a couple GNs."

I was FLOORED. I'm like is this guy full of shit or retarded or something? I mean anyone who knows queens KNOWS they dump stolen cars around there a lot so he could be making the story up. Also he was handicapped, his right arm was like deformed, it didnt look like he could have stolen much of anything. This was that moment where I was like... well I could jump over the desk and beat the life out of a handicapped man, or I could just let it go.... My gf was looking at me cause she knew I was ready to explode.. I mean who says shit like that???

I decided after looking at this guy he was just a douchebag and was probably just ****ing with me. I mean he can't be that stupid but who knows, and what am I gonna do. I turned around to the salesman and said thanks and just left before I lost my mind and did do something stupid. It still kinda bothers me, but what am I gonna do, beat a handicapped man for claiming he stole my car almost 10 years ago?

They take care of you so you'll take care of them. Its why parents shouldn't beat their kids.

As for your amigo... I wouldnt let it get to you. And if it does get to you, im sure you could think of a number of quiet ways to take out your frustrations on a handicap'd man. Just be sure hes connected.

When you get your car, get a rope and take the wheelchair for a ride.

Stealing is just bs. Especially people who think its cool. They need to have their last breath stolen.

back to the dealer to pick up the car today for her. I hope the guy is there I may screw with him.

On a sadder note, my folks informed me my projects gotta go out of their driveway (I don't live there). My VW race car was headed to my friends place anyway, but they also want the 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner gone. This was a car I spent 5 years looking for, and 5 years restoring for my dad. Its totally nowhere near done yet as we don't have a garage so I can only work on it when its nice out. My dad has become disinterested, and I honestly can't promise to have it done in any less than 2 years, so they want it out. :( The times that I am free is when it cant be worked on (nights, when its cold, etc).

Anyway we are now lookin to move a 1969 Roadrunner, Blue Fire Metallic, 440, 4 spd, ran when parked, rebuilt engine all new accessories, holley carb, harnesses, etc, master power disc brake kit, needs clutch linkage, floorpans, gas tank, interior, windshield, all bodywork and paint. Hoping to get $15k with probably $2k of new parts included, Its straight and very little rot, very sad to let go :(

Of course they both pickup on the same day. I went with the G/f cause I figured my parents could figure out how not to get screwed right????

I go by to check out the car and I find they don't have a copy of the bill of sale. Not only that the total they paid sounds a bit high....

Of course I'm right, and we come to discover the dealer charged them $1000 for what is essentially GAP insurance.... of course not telling them... Why thy didn't LOOK at this before signing their lives over I dont know. ugh

Luckily Mom put $1000 of the car on ther credit card so I told her t go back and have them refund that (and the tax paid against it) or dispute it with her credit card.

The saga continues....

If he's in a wheelchair, engage his brake and set him on fire.

Nah, he's probably just screwing with you. But I'd pistol whip him just to be safe.
