New Bowtie?

Sorry if this is being discussed elsewhere, but I thought I read in one of the press things that the Camaro would be sporting a new leaner bowtie emblem? Did they change the bowtie or did I read that wrong?

I read that too. I don't notice much of a difference though.

I may look a tad bit more 'lean' but that could also be my eyes looking for a difference that isn't there.

It's more sleek, if thats what you want to interpret "leaner" as... or appears to be anyway.

I'm not sure if that was the exact wording, but I can't find the quote now.

It is a more stylized version of the logo...

Check out the production pictures that were leaked and you will see what I mean. Rather then being gold edge to edge it has a chiseled silver border around it. It gived the bowtie depth over the traditional flat gold logo without changing it so significantly that many would notice the change. I think it also makes it look a lot meaner if you ask me.

See... not all change is bad...

j/k...

It makes sense they are doing it though... I mean they are taking a historic icon in the Camaro and bringing it into the modern era so they might as well do that with the logo which really has not changed much since before the introduction of the camaro...

Ahh, the bowtie. I was hoping to find somewhere to talk about this. It looks all ridgy, and sharp like the Concept's....minus the gold.

You think it will be a two piece metal emblem like that or a molded one piece when it goes into mass production?

I personally hope for the two peice. I think the chrome rim really helps set the bowtie off and makes it pop.

That badge can stay on mine. I'll dress my Camaro with bowtie pride.
