GM Military Discount for Retirees
Great news to all that have served the nation!
GM Military Discount for Retirees GM In honor of Military Appreciation month, military retirees are eligible to receive the GM Military Discount (Program Number 10-16) during the month of May. In addition to active duty members and reserves of the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard, and Coast Guard, retirees from these branches of service can participate in the program from 5/1/2010 to 6/1/2010. Like active members and reservists, retirees are required to submit proof of eligibility.

WoW just in time... thanks for the info... I was going to purchase today but I think tomorrow would be better now.
Can this be combined with GMS pricing? |

It's the same program, preferred pricing. The only difference is they've opened it up to retirees for a month, so that they get the discount same as active duty, and reserves.

OK... I did understand that this one is the same offered to Active Duty. The one I'm using is through my company... called GM Supplier discount.. are they all the same thing? So if I pick the car up tonight and use GMS I'm getting the best deal possible. In conjunction w/ USAA of course.
Thanks Frank... |

That's correct to a certain extent. There is no more Supplier/GMS Pricing. They've been changed into a new program called GM Preferred Pricing.
So, if you're combining GM Preferred Pricing w/ USAA then you would be getting the best deal already. Unless of course you have a pontiac or saturn at your residence....

To Bad this has not been the policy all the time and just my luck it comes out 11 months after I got my New Camaro. I did 21 years, 7 months, and 16 days in the U.S. Navy as an Operations Specialist (OS1/SW).

Yes, the sales people arent familiar with it, but if you talk to the finance people they are. Make sure you sign up online and print out your eligibility and your code. If still no dice come down to Fort Gordon Ill get you squared away. I am in army as well.
