I've tried touchless car washes...varied experiences. They can be hard on the paint and somehow they don't necessarily get all the dirt off...good for a dusty car not so much for a dirty car...

Was it Steve's ?

I just finished polishing my car with the Adams kit, and Porter Cable ... Unbelievable how the swirls just disappeared I actually had fun doing it

I didnt want to mention where but yes you hit the nail on the head....I got the compound done on the trunk lid, they went as far down as possible without burning the paint and I would say 90% of the scratches are gone and whats left are faded. Im just so discouraged because the harder I try to keep the car clean and scratch free I keep finding new things, now I have 2 rock chips on the front of the car one on the bumper the other on the hood...nothing I could have done but whatever, are our hoods fiberglass? So I don't have to worry about it rusting?

The hood is aluminum, so don't worry about rust.

Was it the sales that turned you off, or the service department ?

It was the service, very long story short their mechanic blew the motor in my supercharged cobalt and I paid for it....
