My thoughts are that if they don't want to call it a Z/28, then they should have some other name other than HP Edition. Some other Z/ name would be appropriate ..

I don't believe though that a name would keep someone from buying the car.

I think it should be called a z28.... I'll be disappointed if they name it something else.

I think initally there will be A LOT of people upset, however, if the car is made well and delivers on bad-assery() then all will be well in the end.

After some careful consideration.........It doesn't matter. Either way it will more than likely be priced out of my comfort zone. So call it what you like. It would be nice to see Z28 shine again but, if Chevrolet's marketing folks want to call it something else. Thats their call. Plus I have something special already.

The heritage associated with this nameplate is second to none. If this car is going to be the pinnacle of Camaro performance in the 5th generation platform, then it deserves a name none other than Z/28.
I really could not have said it any better. Although I have a preference and a wish that it should be called Z28, it will not deter my buying the car. It will have every performance feature I could have hoped for and then some. So it does not matter if they call it Mustang Mauler or Challenger Crusher this Camaro will be the most powerful Camaro ever built by Chevrolet and sold to the general public. Maybe having having it's own unique nameplate has some merit. The one name that I know for sure that it is going to have is - MINE.

Anything but IROC, please. That makes me think of mullets, cheap beer, and glam metal = not cool. Then again, I'd still buy it! Not sure if anyone else suggested this, but what about Z/HP? I think that could sound right

In any case, I have bonded with my SS and will not sell it off just to jump into a Z28 / HP edition. I will continue to slowly make it more and more my own. I bought a 2010 SS because it is the return of the Camaro. This car and I will be together for a long time. I will be happy to see a Z28 on the road again and know that more money can always mean more speed, but my SS is mine.
