Exclamation Warranty Question - Transmission

Recently, my tranny has been grinding when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear and also it sometimes goes into neutral on its own. So in a few days I'm taking it to my local dealer for diagnosis. The mileage on my car just hit 30k and I also have that Chevy Platinum Protection Plan up to 60k miles. My question and main concern is, will they automatically void the warranty once they see my cold air intake and catch can? Obviously, they have nothing to do with the tranny issue but I know how dealers can be with modifications. Should I worry?

Regardless of popular beliefs....yes they can void the warranty for any modification. Will they? Most likely not. You should be fine. Good luck.

I’d put all the stock items back on. Recently took mine in for the hissing sound behind the dash on the passenger side they denied me because I had the aftermarket exhaust on. I assumed it would be ok since the exhaust doesn’t have anything to do with the heater core I was wrong

Just fyi, you're problem sounds like a bad synchro, and likely a bad 3/4 slider in the trans
