I don't see how any of the mods you have listed would cause an oil pressure issue.

Did you have the car tuned? If so, was it a dyno tune or one from a hand held?

That might be the only leg that a dealer may have is to say that something in the tune caused it....but cat-back, HF cats, CAI, and gears????? How could that cause an oil pressure drop?

Definately keeps us informed on the outcome.

Exactly my though, no relation. I do not have a tune or any engine mods, I am scheduled to go to ADM in Lewisville to get Andy's stage 2 cam, ported intake, ported TB, tune and BMR control arms. I am hoping my combination will be fast, durable, and trouble free!!!

Are you going to have the oil pressure issue addressed first? I would....because the Cam could definatley give the dealer ammo to not warranty an oil pressure drop.

I don't think you'll be sorry with ADM's stuff. He knows what he's doing. With those mods I'm assuming you already have headers. Once you get all that done please post the numbers and have him video tape it.

I just got the Header/3" Magnaflow/ADM Tune done a few weeks ago and plan to eventually have him install the Stage II Cam. PM when you take it in. I might see if I can take the video camera up there and tape how it sounds afterwards.

Well, got my first call from the dealer, they asked if I had a chip in it--I emphatically told them NO!!. She also said I had several aftermarket pieces on it, I mentioned that they werent the cause of the low oil presuure, for sure...

Got another call, they noticed the hiflo cats and all the "Racing" equipment. She mentioned it may not be warrantied if it is an internal engine part, I mentioned Magnuson/Moss Act, I may be in for a fight....

Did you tell them "Yes...I have some mods but nothing that's going to cause an oil pressure issue".

Maybe be up front and tell the mods you did and ask them which one would've caused the problem.

Did it run smooth and quiet? If so, probably had oil pressure and it's just the sensor. Lifters with no oil pressure will rattle like crazy and barely run due to they are hardly opening the valves.

If they give you any grief, ask for - what is the cause of the failure and an explanation of how that cause is directly the result of your aftermarket compenents. Non of those parts should have anything to do with oil pressure, unless maybe you knocked the sensor wire off installing the cats?

The cats should not be an issue. The rear end may be since that adds extra stress to the whole drivetrain.
