V6 with Dual mode Exhaust - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Was at dealers when a 2LT Convertible with dual mode exhaust arrived. Went over to transporter as he unloaded the car. Sounded a lot better then regular exhaust , but not close to as good as V8. The other thing i noticed that it was a automatic. I thought you could only get it with manual. It sure look good with the four tips coming out the back.

You can only get the 1LE in a manual; you can get dual mode exhaust with either V6 transmission.

That is the SS automatic where you cannot get NPP.

You can not get he dual mode exhaust with an automatic in the SS (L99 engine).
I am sure this has to do with AFM, and what it would probably sound like.

I was just talking about the V6

My dealer tried to order a 2LT A6 with NPP last week and it kept changing it to manual. Do you know how that dealer was able to order it? Did he have to call the DBC and have them put the order in for him?

No , i don't know how it was ordered. Went to website and it shows that only on LT it can be ordered with either transmission.

People keep starting threads on the V6 with the dual mode exhaust...but nobody posts videos! Arrrggg

I don't really expect it to be better than some of the aftermarket setups we have now, but i still want to hear it.

I just walked in the door from my purchase of a 2LT W dual mode exhaust, automatic. The 4 pipes look nice
