aftermarket xm antenna
Has anyone bypassed the factory xm antenna and used an aftermarket one to improve the reception? Just curious as the sharkfin blows.

Yes I used the antenna that Sirius provided. It works 50 times better then the shark fin.

Anyone able to improve the performance of the sharkfin by modifying/adding something to it (maybe a better antenna in the same housing?) The antenna is going to end up causing me to cancel my XM. It's awful.

Using the XM on the factory radio? If so where did you connect the antenna? Is it plug and play. Thanks.

I have a 2011 2LT/RS. The Satellite connection has it own connection on the the radio. You just have to disconnect the shark fin and connect the xm antenna. The my link radios may be different set up.
