TPS Voltage output wire
Just a quick question guys,
Does anyone have a picture or can describe where, what color ect... The throttle position sensor voltage output wire is? I know it is connected to the Throttle body, I just would rather not poke holes in my wiring checking voltage. Any help would be great. Thanks Brian |

TPS wire
The Camaro has an electronic throttle body and does not have a TPS. Since the gas pedal is fully electronic it sends the desired throttle position to the ECU. The ECU reads the vehicle speed and gear (L99) and sends the signal to the throttle body to open the butterfly to a specific position. The ECU also buffers the response from the gas pedal by up to 30 percent. GM does that for torque management, I guess this prevents The driver from mashing the pedal.

I guess I wasn't clear enough in the original post so i'll add some. I am installing a new Zex system on a LS3. It is activated at WOT, there is a throttle position sensor voltage output wire some where. It reads .5 volts closed and around 4.5 volts open. im just trying to get a heads up on where it is.

There is only one 0-5v reference on the throttle body TPS. It should be the light green wire on the six wire connector(next to yellow wire). You're welcome to take a look at my car and nitrous install if you'd like, I'm semi local to you. I use the nitrous outlet extension/splice pigtail. It has the TPS wire already spliced out, makes it pretty easy to hook up, just crimp on a weatherseal and you're good to go.
@Go Fast Kid: There is a TPS voltage reference. You are wrong. |
