Can anybody tell me what would be the outcome of a race with this?

I was driving in town and this Orange Charger with DAYTONA painted on the side started to taunt me, reving and what not.

I just wanna know if I had raced him, who would have won?

I have a 2SS L99 (say I was in Sport Mode TAPshift).

I had to turn, my lane was turn only.

I forgot to tell you if it was a daytona then it wasn't an srt8

Race at the track and yes you would beat him.

But please DON'T use the tap shifts when you drag race. That's a good way to get beat.
Let the computer do the shifting. If you're racing in a straight line from point A to B, let the computer do the shifting. You can't match the speed and accuracy of the computer.

The only time the tap shifts would be an advantage would be going around a road course (with turns etc).

SRT-8's are almost as capable as SS's, stock. Supercharged ... its not going to be much of a contest unless he is a horrible driver.

It was Orange with Black Markings, and DAYTONA SRT-8 Written in big letters on the Rear Fenders. Had a high wing spoiler and a scooped hood.

6.1 hemi, ALOT of tq...it would be close

Are you sure its supercharged.. because if so, you would lose..

uh, I think it might have said S/C o the side, kinda vuage. How about withont a SC?

If it was a Daytona, it was a 5.8. Kind of weird that they consider it a 5.8 opposed to the "regular" hemi engine which is a 5.7. They say it's because of the exhaust...??? The SRT-8 is a 6.1, and that's a totally different car performance wise.

I think it might be a dodge charger super-bee..

not supercharged, so its really a drivers race if both cars are stock
