Its just sad, another hot rod icon is gone.

Not too suprising and it's a shame. The good news is that aftermarketing as a whole will grow cause people are keeping old rides. But cam's are not like the old days probably due to all the ricers. Not that many V8's around and those that are being produced don't need to be cammed (HP already tuned up).

I had heard about this a few weeks ago but then heard more recently they were going to reorganize and make a big come back. Guess the re-org thing fell apart !!

Crane will be far from the last aftermarket company to bite the dust. Just look at the dozens of "forged wheel" companies out there all making exactly the same thing, outsourcing it to the same exact place, and charging thousands of dollars for it. People just don't have discretionary income like they used to that would support all these companies that popped up in the last 5-10 years. Hopefully, most of the good companies like Borla, SLP, Holley, etc. will survive.
