I plan on picking several of these up when I head to Pole Day. Last year they offered a black T-shirt with the 2010 Camaro Indy Pace Car on both the front and back. While I didn't see one available on their web site, I'm hoping they offer a 2011 version in the gift shops at the Speedway.

I just wish someone would make these in 1:18th scale.

That car had been sitting at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan since it won the race back in 1965 until last year when it was mechanically restored to appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England and other important events, like this year's 100th anniversary of the Indy 500. Very cool!!!!

From the looks of the picture, it seems that the stripes are correct on the Greenlight version available in May in the diarama. See it here http://secure.brickyard.com/Retail/P...c-081a287e186f

For the above release, by Greenlight, it is. Look at the Hot Wheels. They put the white stripes on in the same manner as any "normal" SS. They stop at the hood line, just like the picture on the cardboard.

I noticed that too, I just wanted to let you know that the Greenlight version seems to have got it correct. Can't wait to get my hands on this diorama!!

Waiting for the other to go on sale.

Just confirmed my reservation at the Wingate, by the Indianapolis Airport, 1.9 miles from IMS and its only running me $182!! May 20-22. Now if the time would pass by faster!!

We'll be "unique"!!!

I talked to Pete at ShowStopper last week. He is going to try and have my engine dress kit done by this weekend for a show. I told him "Do NOT rush"! From what I've seen, he does very good work and I really excited about getting all of my pieces in. He is also doing an ADM street CAI for me. The original will move to the garage storage area along with the original exhaust. Looking forward to getting everthing installed!!

Would love to go but C5 Fest then Oshawa in June... it's just too much all at once. I'm guessing this one happens every year so I'll catch it in 2012...
