Hit up MACE, they said they'd fix it up if you send it in.

We are changing the way we deal with the filling. I can guarantee that it will NEVER happen again. Anyone who don't feel comfortable or are having issues please feel free to send it in. We will redo it and make sure its done properly before its shipped back out to you! We will also ship back the same day! It will be our first priority before anything. I would also very HIGHLY recommend a RX catch can to our past purchasers to make sure its free of any oil in the manifold and on the filling itself for a little piece of mind. Not only that, a catch can should be the first mod in my book! LLT are famous for oil intake. I don't frequent the board too much as time is the enemy atm so please email me directly to VELOCITYPORT410@GMAIL.COM

Darkness, your guy who you sold the manifold to we are taking a good care of!

Thanks guys! What's up Keith!

Mace. I applaud you for your response to this scenario. Thanks for taking care of my guy! You never know when modding cars so things are going to happen. I still wouldn't hesitate to buy any of your products.

On the plus side the filling is probably too large to make it past the runner. As long as the tape doesn't get sucked in and it doesn't break apart it will just cause misfires.

Interesting theory on the foam, and not out of the question. I seafoamed right when I put the manifold on. Its completely possible it ate away at it over those 400-500 miles.

Ill spank all your asses with my wifes smart car for two. It's got a 200 shot of nos and 600hp stickers all over it. You will be in awe!

just wanted to post an fyi on the ported mace im.
i did a complete tuneup and took my tb off to check on my ported im from mace due to reading this post.

i had the im ported less than one yr ago and i have prob put less than 8,000 miles on in that time.

i put some light into the im and noticed the edges of the glue were flaking off. there was very small pieces of the glue inside.

anyone know how to remove the glue? i really dont want to take off the im to do this as i can easily access it while its on.

Is this issue of the filled in section only happening on the Mace manifolds or has anyone seen this problem with the RX manifold too?

Maybe welding would just be the best/safer route. This sounds nerve racking if you have one... still doing this mod sooner or later.

If you buy a mace PIM now would it be different from the "old" (for lack of a better term) ones?

Thank - you,

That is what I thought too, but figured I should ask. Guess I better take my TB off and take a look.

Damn....guess I had better check mine out as well.

Maybe later this year when the car isn't getting out as much I'll have it re-done.
