Instead you are the definitive answer to all of the world as to what they should believe is a good value or a good vehicle.

Whats more delusional, the fact that 99.99 percent of people commenting on a vehicle didn't like it for some reason, or that you believe you are right and the rest of the 99 percent is wrong.

Also, how did all the positive press and wonderful reivews go over for the sales of the G8. Don't sell me on the Pontiac was going under business either. It didn't sell.

I guess. So if it were 100 million people hating the vehicle with only 1 person liking it, would you still be right?

Personally I like this car a lot. I like what it offers that unfortunately I have learned to wish my Camaro had. I just want it to be priced more reasonably, and have a fatter tires. LOL
"Car enthusiasts" is pretty gracious. I don't lend much credence to comments posted on the internet devoid of facts, experience and credibility. Access to a keyboard and the internet does not make you a car enthusiast. Every GM/Chevy hater comes out of the woodwork to post negative comments on press releases like this. I read both articles too, yet I did not post a comment with my impression of a car I have neither seen nor driven. You see the difference?

The year the G8 hit the market (2008) coincided with the highest average fuel prices ever recorded in the U.S. GM was headed into bankruptcy and the entire economy was headed into recession. 2008/2009 were not only the worst years for GM on record but the entire auto industry was being hurt by the recession and collapse of the housing market. Pontiac sold 15,000 in 2008 (Mar-Dec) and 23,000 in 2009. Chevrolet plans to sell 1/4 of this.

Big difference is that the G8 was on lots for people to see, touch, and drive before their decision. The G8 only sold 15K units in 2008 in a time before the recession had hit fully. When you add the two years you get a measly 28K units. How did other car manufacturers do during this time? At almost 50K with TTL, GG Tax you are pushing right up similarly loaded 3 and 5 series BMW. Im not saying that this car is awful, in contrary I think its far from that. It just needed to start at 39,900 putting this car at about 43K after GG tax and TTL.

To much money. Damn anything decent now-a-days equals a $650 a month car payment

23,000 + 15,000 = 38,000

The nearest 3-series would be the 300HP 335i which starts at $43k and can be optioned up to $60k but is smaller and less powerful than the SS. The 535i starts at $53k and only offers 300HP as well. Barely what I would call "performance sedans". That's what the M3, 550i and M5 are for.

That's where it needed to be for you to consider it perhaps. I have no objections with the asking price.

Since Pontiac sales averaged only 1/6 of what Chevrolet sold each year: 2,000 X 6 = 12,000 SS. More than enough. You can't limit Chevrolet to what the Pontiac brand could achieve.

Can you show me a model to model comparison?

Hmmm, now that we have actual numbers, care to retract this foolishness?
R/T: 0-60 in 5.3, 13.8 1/4mile at 103mph, $36,995
SS: 0-60 in 4.5, 12.9 1/4mile at 111mph, $45,770
SRT8: 0-60 in 4.2, 12.6 1/4mile at 114mph $47,475

As I've said all along, slightly less than SRT performance for slightly less money. The SS is nearly a full second faster than the R/T and offers a better overall package than the SRT.
