Not to thread jack, but does anyone know how mod-friendly Tred Britt is? I know Sterling Chevrolet was pretty cool about most mods, just want to check before asking them to do some warranty work.

Good question, I'm curious too. Depends on who is still there. Stan Hale (GM) was all about mods. I wonder if he's still the head honcho there.

Just called and asked. Stan no longer works there :(

Man, I've got a big feeling that its going to be more mainstream there now. Ted Britt is all about numbers. Sterling Chevy was one of the few smaller dealers around.

I'm going to ask my SLP rep if they still deal with that location.

I think the mechanic their that did all the mods was Gill?

I purchased mine from there in OCT and had some work done shortly after. Needless to say I was less than impressed with Ted Britt, so much so I had to file a complaint to Chevrolet/GM. I don't know if it was the transition from Sterling to Britt or what, but they will never get any of my business again. Sucks to because I had worked with the Service Manager, Ken Kraft, at a previous dealer and he was a good guy. Just my 2 cents.

Ugh, that's horrible. Sometimes new ownership can crush a place.

Usually that's what happens, smaller dealer gets sold to a big name. Service goes from awesome to pure crap. Place cares not for the customer but in only sales & ways to rip you off on service. Thankfully my wife's uncle is the Service manager at my local Chevy/GM dealer.

Interesting, I would trade my 1LE in if they could go lower on that like $50-51 range plus swap out my 1LE rims. I can always give it a try.

Ok so apparently it's not sold after I call back and speak to someone who knows about a ZL1. Hmm, this may be interesting.

You've had a 10, 11, and 13. Might as well get the 12!

Don't judge me, lol. I'd only swap if they give me what I want for my 1LE and if they don't, they need to lower that ZL1 to offset it. I'll test drive the ZL1 and look at the cosmetics in person to see the condition. They apparently want my 1LE, bad "supposedly". I'm meeting with them tomorrow at 9am to test drive it (never test drove a ZL1) I've gotten 4 calls from different people there making sure i'm coming. I'd have to fall in love with it for me to even consider it.

Imagine that.

So they gave me $43.5 for my 1LE, I'm still doing some thinking... SUKXOST might have changed my mind.

I know one thing about the old Sterling Chevy, they did have a beautiful SGM SLP ZL585 there at one time. Couldn't imagine much more of a dream car than that.
Its still there, FYI.
