Benefits From a Ram Air Hood

I am installing a functional ram air hood and I was wondering if I will see any actual performance benefits from it. I have a k&n CAI installed as well bbk headers, mrt v2 exhaust and a ported tb. Anyone that's installed notice any diffenrences post installation?

The hood shown above is a heat-extractor type hood; not a ram air hood. The ram air hood would have the scoops facing forward and a channel inside the hood to direct the air flow directly to the air intake.

You're right, got the wrong pics. I had a Nickey Chicago Stinger Hood with fuctional Ram Air going to the air filter but changed me computor and lost some pics. But here's the Hood still:

My Air Intake does'nt have any box or heat shield and this Hood did a great job.

Contact Nickey Chicago for pricing. They are the exclusive seller for this Stinger.

On the dyno I would not count on seeing anything extra. In the real world you might, maybe, see a small improvement. Most "ram air" hoods are not very well designed and the scoops are not actually in the air stream. Also, they are heated from the sun above and the engine below. Unless there are steps taken to resist that heat the air passing through is going to absorb a lot of it.

That being said, I have a ram air hood on my car. Style is important too.
