Question Anything that can be done with the passenger seat?

Hello everyone. Just became an official member of this forum, even though I've been a 'browser' for a while now. Gonna be 39 years old next month, and just got my Rally Yellow baby a month ago. It's the 3rd Camaro I've owned.

Anyway, my wife is only 5 feet tall, and HATES the fact that when she's in the car, she gets stuck staring at the dashboard. I always crack jokes about how I'm going to get her a booster seat but, she doesn't find that amusing.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Outside of a phonebook? Nope. It's something that short people complain about often.

Tell her there's less visibility from the back seat.

Sorry. Post a sign that says, "you must be 5'10" to ride this".. Just kiddin. I'm over 6', plus I always drive so it's not a problem in my household.

Maybe the 2012's will have an electronic passenger seat...

This only ensures that you're sleeping on the couch for the next few months.

My wife is rather short so I'm interested to see how she fits in it. Didn't seem so bad to me (I'm 5'10"). I did have to raise it up a bit for me. My buddy described it best... it's like sitting in your own special cockpit. You sit rather far back by default.

I wonder if this will be remedied with the 2012 model. I have yet to see any interior specs/photos.

As lame as it might sound... can you get a cover for the passenger seat that resembles the stock fabric/leather? Then drop one of those space cushions on there that forms to you, and place a cover over it?

I have no idea how that would look... but it could be worth a try.

Um what I'm about to suggest has already been done on this site so im suprised no one mentioned it. You can remove the pass seat from the floor and put spacers between the seat and the floor, obviously the higher you want the seat the bigger spacer. (I'm assuming you would then need to buy longer screws to re-attach it to the floor.

Please don't make this suggestion without also telling the OP to install higher strength fasteners such as "grade 8" bolts.

Tell her its better than kissing the windshield.

I am 5'3 & thats the same thing I complain about the camaros & the vettes is you are normally kissing the windshield when driving the car, so I got seat belt extenders lol

as for just seeing the dash board , I normally just fall asleep in the pax side of the car when i am not driving lol.

I'm 5'3" and I have gotten used to it when my husband is driving. I guess 3" makes a big difference, because I really do feel like I can see just fine.
