Based on what they have said so far, it seems more of a canyon carver than a track monster on the level of the Z/28. I would expect it to have full amenities instead of being stripped out like the Z/28. I think it will be a great track car but I don't see anything that would allow it to crush the Z.

I am really liking the 350. I do agree with the above, i don't see the shelby beating the z28 around a track. I do think that it might make for a better all around vehicle, all aspects considered.
Great times we live in. Gotta love the performance wars amongst brands.

Rip out all cushy stuff and name it the Cobra R. Then lets see if it can compete with the Z28.

from the little we've seen, it looks like it'll be a pretty great car. Performance between the 1LE and Z/28, and more amenities than either. I'll be interested to see 1) the price, and 2) how it actually drives.

All other awesomeness aside, I'd want one just because it sounds like a Ferrari.

Interesting use of words: "GT350 makes use of extra-stiff 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels."
Didn't notice the word forged???

I'm excited and want one bad. If it turns out to be as good as I'm thinking I may sell the vette and get one.
Rumor is the 500+ is well into the 500s. 550-570hp range. We will have to wait and see, but if it makes 550+ n/a, and has all the other stuff to back it up, I'm a buyer. Sucks no auto though.
