Thoughts on the Volt
I am just curious how everyone feels about the new Chevrolet Volt? I personally really like it, and think it will be a nice addition to the Chevy family.

More practical than the Leaf, destroys the Prius and Insight. Best in class.

If you are talking about the Volt, then you are right, it costs more than the Camaro! Still a very cool car though!

I'm not usually a tech geek, but I am absolutely impressed by the Volt. But as impressed as I am with the car, I'm even more impressed with GM for actually doing it. Creating the most complex powertrain in any car, and pulling it off seemlessly in 3 years is absolutely astonishing. Bob Lutz deserves a lot of credit for pushing the Volt project through the bureaucracy at GM. Without him, the Volt wouldn't have happened.
After the $7500 tax rebate, it will cost less than a Summit White 2SS/RS ...

No matter the price, nothing is going to stop me from purchasing a Summit White 2SS/RS.

It is a cool car and in the short term it will be good for GM, but electric is not the future.

I had the privilege of driving the VOLT a couple months ago. Pretty COOL. Quite. No engine running sounds. Moved and handled well. Very nice for a great commuter car. Never use gas again if you live within 40 miles of work.
