I like the whole white out look without the stripes. But it still looks awesome.

I live in Columbus Indiana but drive to Fort Knox Kentucky everyday. So I am military for another year until I retire. I do this because I am single father of a 13 year old daughter and did not want to move her away from her school and friends so I take a hit for the team and make the drive.

You did a fantastic job. As I was scrolling down, I saw it with the new hood and you wondering about stripes. I said, "no...leave it....no stripes!!!" and then I scrolled down a bit more seeing the new design and my eyebrows raised...

"DAYUM!"

LOOKS KILLER!!!

How did the hood mount up any issues, thinking about getting this hood , just wanted to know how the quality was and fitment and any issues with wobble at high speeds. thanks

I have the same hood and I've had no problems. I love it. No speed issues. It did warp for a few days when it first went on on one side like fiber glass sometimes does, but it did settle. I have heard this isn't uncommon.

it was fine.. I had it done professionally..so they put it on and matched it up before they painted it. all is well.

I never lift my hood during car shows...Reason?

1. My car looks really cool with the hood down and this way it shows the stripes.
2. There was nothing done under the engine that was worth looking at (besides the cold air induction)

So this is what she looked like before.

So the home project began..

This is the stock covers after I washed them in the sink.

It took more than an hour to tape it up the way I wanted it.

I used Krylon white Engine paint (upto 500 degrees)

Now Im good with opening hood when people want to see her.

Its not perfect by any means, but it does look TONS better with hood up now!

It was $600. I just gave them photoshopped versions of what I wanted it to look like and they did it! Make sure you go to someone who has been doing it for years. Since they knew it was going to happen in advance they actually ordered a roll of vinyl just for me so we wouldn't have any color issues with the vinyl.
