Seeing the two side next to each other, you can see many of the styling elements that they kept: the hood indentations, window trickery (not sure what else to call it, nose shape, plus others. Is it the same, or will anyone ever confuse the two? No. It looks like they took the concept and smoothed it out.

Id beg to differ...I see where your going though. IMHO they scrapped the whole design, the profile is different. I look at it as an artist I would have an extremely hard time trying to draw the production model, but the concept would be a breeze. side by side it seems like they used a generic "aerodynamic" mold, and tried to crop in the concept's most "standout" features in it on photoshop.

I used to be Dragoneye...

Still...when compared to the Prius, or the Intrigue....I think it's a kick-ass design.

IMO, nothing alike when comparing the two pix. original volt outdoes modern and aerodynamic any day. But, so is the price you have to pay when you ....don't want to have to pay the price (of gasoline and relying on foreign oil).

Wow 35K for 400plus horsepower. Not bad but excellent. Why can't Ford do this? I'm a mustang owner and love the looks of my car but how many ass whoopings will I have to take before I join the other side? Really does Ford have a clue on how to make an engine with more than 5.4 lit. without putting a supercharger on it. Will the Camaro be that afforable?

I think the Volt looks good, but I'll take the Camaro.

for well under 35k you can have a 400+ hp mustang.. sure its not factory.. but you cant gripe .. Used mustang GT less than 40k miles - 15k Whipple HO kit - 5.5k total 20.5k Stocks with only the kit are putting 400-420 RWHP.. Back on topic, the base Camaro SS needs to be under 30k.. and more likely closer to 27k more than 30k.

I'd get the Camaro as a Weekend Warrior and Volt as a Daily Driver. But If I had to choose- Camaro SS- 422 horsepower and 23 MPG is great.
