Cost to paint?

Would like to get the front and rear bumper painted before adding clear bra. Any idea how much something like this would cost? Is the dealer my best option? Are they the only ones who can match the paint?

There are rock chips in the front and a small blemish to the paint in the rear from backing into a wall.

Depends on your color but I had to have my IOM front fascia repainted after a particularly nasty rock chip went all the way down to the plastic. I had it quoted at 4 different shops and they were all within 50-100 bucks of each other. In the end I went with the one whose shop was the most organized and clean and who had the space to keep my car garaged.

The amount of work on the front is what gets you because of everything that has to be taken off just to prep for paint.

I paid a little over 600. Since the back Bumper is easier to remove and has less to take off you're probably just looking at te paint cost.

Since you have white it shouldn't be too hard. And no. Any competent body shop will be able to match the paint.

Also some chips may come out with a simple buff with rubbing compound and the body shop will be able to tell you that.

Thank you, that was very informative and helpful. $600 is not too bad. I may be able to live with the rear.

No problem. I should also note a big factor in my price was the fact that it was IOM and it costs a pretty penny to get the exact paint from GM. Since matching metallics can be a pain.

But since you have white, it should be very easy for them to get either a secondary paint to match. Hell I think the normal gloss colors from GM are relatively inexpensive.
