Just recieved a call from GM

It wasn't the usual (how do you like your new car) questions. The guy wanted to know about any issues or problems. Told about a few, including the card in the bike tire noise, and that I took care of everything. Never had a call like this before and have purchased many vehicles. At the end wanted to know if it would be ok if a engineer called. --ok-- To cool!

I know you are upset with the allocation system - but as I've posted before -- every manufacturer has similar allocation systems. Allocation systems are required by law and the system must meet the requirements of all auto franchise laws in all 50 states - none of which are identical.

I've posted at length about this - we don't like upsetting customers -- however, when product demand far exceeds supply, people must wait longer for the commodity. It's called "The Law of Supply and Demand."

I understand supply and demand however I was bumped about 5 weeks for deleting the stripe package. My dealer told GM to only make the change if it will not affect the build date and he was assured that it would not. My car was due to be built 1st week in march so when production stopped at the end of feb, I should have been built the first week that production started back up. This would have resulted in a VIN somewhere around the 500 to 600 range. instead, the car was built this week and VIN is in the high 1400's.
