I'm not giving up on the rebate..I have a call in to GM. It is not fair and I plan to make a bit of deal about it if its not covered for Canadians.

Rebate decision is from GM brass above any "country specific" decision.
Dealer is wrong
This is a marketing decision from corporate GM. The Camaro is a GM product not a regional product.
If I have to, I'm going to court if I don't see any rebate. anyone want to start a class action if we don't see results?

I understand your frustration but that's a little extreme.

Easy tiger im sure things will all work out! Some of the first ZL1 built did'nt have it on the window stickers its was done after the already built ones were shipped. I believe that the main reason for the Credit was because of the correct inserts not being available for customers that had to change IE ALL of us. Carbon guys got black .....Black guys forced into carbon and now no more black so It was done to make customers happier Not to single anyone out I THINK! Follow up with GM and keep everyone posted good luck

I'm ok so far, don't worry... I am just stating how far I'm willing to go if we don't get this situation rectified. Its kind of the last straw in the unequal treatment there seems to be north of the border.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my new Camaro ZL1, I LOVE my dealer, I am very happy with the car and the service I have received.
I just don't see why the customer service from GM Corporate falls short for Canada. I bought the same car as my southern friends, paid more for it for really no reason, had to wait to get my car built till well after US orders placed after mine were built and delivered, and now we get the shaft on the hood rebate?

Im here thinking to myself ,I just paid $73,088 CDN (cash)...Waited since Sept and have been treated like a 3rd class citizen. Something wrong here! I don't even have the FN car yet!

We have to pay more for just about everything.

The crazy thing is the car is built in Canada so they can't claim it is to do with import costs, the CAD and USD are pretty much par and have been for a while now yet we are treated as a second class market.... Things must change!!

Canada's not feeling the love GM!!

You dam straight we should get the discount also we have waited just as long for our cars and some have even sold the rides to buy the ZL1. Now you find out your being discriminated against for where you live. I have always been in the Generals camp and to have some brass in an office make a crappy call over 600 beans is intolerable. I will be making an issue about it with my dealer when the car is in my hands and I will go higher if need be. I will support what others have to say to GM and back them up as iI have always done when it comes to GENERAL MOTORS! Come on lets be fair accross the board and boarders. We all love these cars the same!

This needs to happen!
