I think its a cool, unique, subtle idea as opposed to the whole back windshield
I guess thats what I wanted, something different. Not sure if I am going to keep it. I am really thinking of changing to the chrome ones I found online. I have chrome fin or gill inserts coming. Then thats it. Next mod will be under the hood.

Got pics of the process?
It took a while to figure it out. First the whole thing is in one section that comes off. Open the hood and look through the hole next to the release button you push at the front to finish opening the hood. its small but the only way to see the inner clips. I used a small mag light to see it.

There are four "clips" i will call them. two that that go vertically from left to right. Those you can actually feel if you run your fingers under the housing. They are easy to work loose, but it will still not come off. There are two more running vertically from top to bottom right in the middle. Those you have to work to get to. I was able to bearly slip my arm through the grill square. I used a long thin screw driver to push the clip so I could work it off.

After you get the housing off you will see its all one piece, the outer silver housing then the inner gold section. This inner section is held in place with a tacky like tar substance. Take a hair dryer and heat it up. you can push out from two holes in the back but be warned, do that easy, you can break it..............I know first hand. Im not talking about that anymore.

The clear cover is part of the inner gold piece, its one piece not two.

Good luck.

LOL I was gonna say updating it for every holiday could be interesting. But you beat me to it (even if you were kidding).

The patriotic looks nice, but only around the appropriate holiday imo.

It tool me a while to find the right stickers i wanted, a flag with a wave and not just flat. I finial found them at a Chevy dealer here in Houston. I got the last 4 he had, but they are ordering some more. I have to say, the pictures do not do it justice. The front bow tie I removed the bow tie completely took out the gold insert, added a 1/4 inc, foam sheet (My wife's idea, and yes it actually worked) then sealed it. The sticker is very high quality with about a 1/4 inch hard clear rubber surface. Really protects the image, no chance of water getting behind.

The back bow tie I just made a pattern and placed over the gold. They both turned out great i think. Just want others opinion.

Thanks
I like the one in the front only...I think the one in the back is too much....GO USA!

I like it. Everyone is entittled to his or her own opinion. An that is what makes us great. Don't take my words personal, they're never meant to be. An I served my country in the Navy also, now I'm a contractor in Iraq. But, in the end. It's all love.

Personally (even as a Canadian) i think it looks pretty good, defiantly original!

The only change I would make would be to make it a little darker, i think the colours are a bit bright, and instead of it becoming a subtle addition, its more of a YO LOOK AT ME kind of thing

But thats just my opinion

Regardless, good work!
